As part of a $1.5 billion investment, Aristeo is expanding Ford’s Ohio Assembly Plant (OHAP) footprint.
Aristeo expanded Ford’s OHAP with a nearly 3 million SF mixed-use facility with space for battery assembly. Aristeo managed steel fabrication and erection alongside multiple other ironworker crews.
Aristeo managed the fabrication and erection of nearly 18,000 tons of steel. As an experienced construction partner, we seamlessly delivered high quality services while managing an active plant with numerous contractors on site. Close communication with all parties is essential to keeping the project safe and on schedule.
Coordinating shipping sequences and laydown areas was imperative to minimize disruptions to the active plant. With an average of 30-40 truck deliveries each week, we modified parking areas to accommodate for construction activities.
Additionally, advanced planning is crucial to maintain the accelerated schedule. We purchased steel in advance to secure materials in the fluctuating market, saving our customer money. We also planned for the unpredictable variable of weather, including high winds, excessive rain and temperature swings. We re-sequenced construction activities to maintain the 13-month schedule and aim to deliver this project with zero incidents.
